Cling onto every word from God

For any kingdom, nation or society to stand, there must be guiding laws, written or otherwise. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16, all scripture is spirit inspired.

If anybody is going to gain from the long Christian walk, it is imperative to know what guides Christianity; the Word.
There is no scripture in the Bible that was written for nothing. You may read it and it sounds like a bad gong but if you were inspired by the Holy Spirit, read the sane scripture over and over again, as you pray. Eventually it will make sense and work in your situation.
About three years ago, the Lord gave me Isaiah 45, Hebrews 11 and Hebrews 12:4. When the instruction to read and own them came, I dutifully opened my Bible and read them. But no matter how often I read them then, all I could deduce was: “Amen! Nicely put.” But the Word did not necessarily speak to me.
Which is why I was amazed when just last week as I sat at my desk to work, the same chapters and verses floated back to me. And this time, they were speaking to me so directly, my eyes watered. I finally understood what God meant by that scripture in Isaiah 65:24 that says, “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Clearly, three years ago God answered a prayer I said only recently!
Don’t take the Bible lightly. Every Word that comes your way, don’t rubbish it; God is talking to you.

Some people, say they are Christians but believe only in the New Testament and I find that funny. Scripture whether in the old or new testament has a purpose to either correct or give instruction for righteousness among other things. That is why every wise Christian should be weary of a preacher who preaches without referring to the scripture.

So important is the scripture that we must read it, memorise it and read it again in different versions of the Bible.
It is equally not right to toss scripture to other people when it comes to you. God is not a man that He should lie. If the scripture is about marriage and you are a widow do not discard it claming it is not yours. God can use that very word in your situation even if it does not seem related at all. The word is for all to consume because it is our spiritual bread. Just like people starve when they do not eat, a spirit that does not get the Word of God will soon faint or even die.

Sometimes God uses people to send us scripture through text messages, and depending on the mood, we either refuse to read or declare that it will not work in our situation. But the reason we do that is because we underestimate the God we serve.

If you see a Bible verse inscribed on somebody’s car, a book, T-Shirt, or even number plate, do not simply ignore it. Go back and read it, you will be surprised how many ways God talks to us.
If we learn to take God’s Word seriously, we will never claim again that God never speaks to us.
